Neighbors Increasingly Suspicious of One Another After Mobster Found Working the Rent Control System in the Hood

Residents of the tawny 900 and 1000 block of 3rd Street in Santa Monica have shown increased suspicion towards one another after notorious mobster, aka that grumpy old guy, Whitey Bulger was nabbed from his little rent controlled nest.

Early morning runners, walkers, surfers, and stair climbers as well as the neighborhood cats often saw "that grumpy old guy" as he walked to the local market. His wife - or so they thought- was a bit nicer and likely to be seen petting said neighborhood cats. She developed a special bond, no really. This feline who particularly feels the pain reacts to the news that the nice old lady who always had treats is gone!

Generally speaking, the neighborhood is a great deal more suspicious these days. Residents are seen taking pictures of all curious vans and loiterers. Like these vans spotted in the alley behind 927. Really? Two matching personal laundry service vans on a Monday morning?!?! Fat Chance!

Who else has 800k in the walls of their apartment - and can we borrow some cash? Not that mass murder is a small issue, but rent control in Santa Monica is a pretty big deal. Anyone who's that flush with cash, really really shouldn't be tapping into our little system. It's like having a Madoff in the socialist republic of Santa Monica! Super Not Cool! (But then kinda cool too).

An increase in reviews of the FBI's Most Wanted List has been reported.
